Aromatherapy & Care of the Elderly: E Learning

Pre-requisite: Aromatherapy qualification

This course is great for therapists who work or treat the elderly. Some of the greatest benefits to both patient and carers come from the use of essential oils with the elderly since the quality of life is improved for all concerned. Studies are presented which show definite reductions in the need for medication for sleep disturbances in settings where aromatherapy has been tried.  Treatments for a variety of conditions often associated with old age are given, with particular reference to rheumatology.

Determine which essential oils are best suited to the frail and elderly, and which methods of uses are the most effective in cases of different common ailments. A number of common ailments are discussed in detail and also the treatment plans and applications for each ailment in the light of individuality.
